SIMPLE RECOLORING TUTORIAL Hello scrappers! CT Member Cheryl here. We've had some requests to have a tutorial showing how to do simple recoloring techniques. I'm going to show you the simple ways that I change the colors of elements.
I quite frequently change the colors of stitches and string - they're normally black, and if I'm using them on a dark background, they don't show up. I'm using elements from Pink Reptile Designs Just Be Happy. This can be found at Sweet Shoppe Designs here: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=51726&cat=&page=1
Here's how I change black string and other elements to white.
CLICK ON ADJUST COLOR:
CLICK ON ADJUST HUE/SATURATIONl
Here's what the ADJUST HUE/SATURATION BOX LOOKS LIKE:
Move the bottom slider all the way to the right, then click OK:
Now your string is white:
You can also use this same technique if you want to recolor some elements. Following the same directions above, let's play with the color of this flower.
Follow all of the steps above, but when you get to the HUE/SATURATION - click on MASTER:
The Choose color menu will drop down. I chose blue:
Then click on COLORIZE:
Play with all three of the sliders until you get the color you want. Here's my final blue flower.
Here's a layout I created using the coloring techniques; I changed the string and messy thread from black to white to show up on the dark background. I also changed the color of some of the flowers, using the directions above. I used a template, papers and elements from Just Be Happy. https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=51726&cat=&page=1
I hope you've found this a helpful and simple way to change/manipulate the colors of some of your elements. Until next time, keep on scrapping. Cheryl

Great tut Cheryl,
I will make sure this gets posted on the socials. I am just running behind but will find a way to schedule it in between other posts.
