Name: Judith
Alias (how are you known in Digiland): chigirl
Country: California USA

Favorite PRD Kit or Product:
Actually, Mirjam’s latest kit is usually my favorite, but if I have to choose it would be Silly (a collab) because I have two very silly grandchildren and One of a Kind, I find myself using this kit all the time.

How long have you been scrapping?
I started as a card maker way back when Print Shop first came out using flat elements and no shadowing. Software has come a long way.  I was a magazine junkie back then, and found a free digital scrapping kit in one of them. I read the article, downloaded the kit and was hooked. I made my first page with a picture of my grandson when Zach was 6 months old, so that would be 2004. I have not stopped since and also got my daughter converted from paper to digital.

What is your go to product? Something that seems to find its way on many of your pages? (stitches, tags, patterned papers, doodles, paint, etc)
My style changes all the time, fully covered page, white space, art journaling but I have to use some kind of fastener on every page, stitching, staples, or buttons. Another must have are strings and ribbons.

What would your dream kit be, if you could have any kit created for you?
I think my dream kit would be an everyday multi-use kit in primary colors, small patterned papers and solids. It would have to include flowers, buttons, ribbons and strings, some tags, some paint and lots and lots of wordart.

Best scrapbooking trick you learned.
I learned a lot during The Lilypad's MOS 2014, my first time doing this month-long challenge. I think my fav technique was learning how to make a stamp look realistic. The tutorial is called Brush Work across layers.

Tutorial found here at The Lilypad

Random facts that we might not know about you?
I am originally from Chicago (explains my forum name), I grew up within cheering distance of Wrigley Field. I now live in sunny San Diego, but still consider Chicago my home.  I am a full-time accountant at a wholesale bakery. I have a beautiful daughter, wonderful son-in-law, a pre-teen granddaughter and a handsome grandson. They live in Okinawa where dad is a doctor in the US Navy. Most of my pages are about them.

Here are a couple of Judith's favorite pages:

Wow, those are two beautiful pages full of love and smiles! I love all the little details you include on your pages like the strings and ribbons. I bet having your son and his family in Japan makes this hobby, of memory keeping, even more special for you. It is very cool to learn that you grew up so close to Wrigley Field. The off-set stamp look is such a great tip to share! If you haven't seen the tutorial and given it a try on your pages, you are missing out. It really does make digital pages look more realistic. Thanks for sharing Judith. It was fun to get to know you better! I hope you enjoy your coupon!
