It’s in the Details Welcome to a brand new series, “It’s in the Details”, where we take a closer look at the uniqueness of Pink Reptile Design products, along with a little dose of inspiration for good measure. I hope you’ll join us …
It’s in the Details | Banner Flags, Tiny Tags & TabsI don’t know about you, but when I play with a PRD kit, I am immediately drawn to the array of textures and tiny details. Mirjam includes texture on just about everything she creates. Sometimes it is in small, subtle ways and sometimes it is big and bold. I love it all! One of the little details that I am currently loving, and that has been popping up in her element packs lately, is the amazing textures and details found on her flag banners, tiny tags and tabs.
When I first saw the Heimili kit, my eye went right to the trio of banner flags.
https://the-lilypad.com/store/Heimili-Elements.htmlThe texture … the addition of the eyelet … the hand drawn doodled line ... the distressing and wrinkles of the paper used, it is just adorable and so well designed. Such a small little element, but it really packs a big punch with the details.
Apparently, Pink Lady Marnel thought so too … she made a statement with the whole trio of flag banners, lining them up along side her photo and title, to draw attention there.

Pink Lady Sokee uses the pink flag banner front & center and slightly overlapping that awesome photo. It screams “Look here please”, politely of course. Together with the matching texture found in the
Heimili Alpha, this page makes you feel like you could reach out and touch the distressed paper!

I love the the addition of the label on the tab, and the krafty texture is perfection. TLP Polly Lori uses one of the tabs in a unique way on her page by adding some word art from the kit instead of the typical date. Love that!

There are also some adorable little tabs with a slight kraft texture and the added bonus of a staple. (I love it when I don't have to go digging for a staple to use within my stash!)
http://the-lilypad.com/store/XOXO-Elements.htmlI love that the Pink Reptile Designs products are so well thought out with these personal little extra details.
Here Pink Lady Sucali uses both the flag banners and the stapled tabs from the XOXO kit on her pretty page:

The newest kit, Everyday of the Week, has adorable flag banner/tags all rolled into one! How adorable and creative is this little tag? That little black fabric tab with the heart also stands out too. I love that it is done in classic black & white and the little stitching detail is awesome. This is so not your basic tab folks!
https://the-lilypad.com/store/Every-Day-Of-The-Week-Elements.htmlHere TLP Polly Rebecca uses both elements to show off her gorgeous pooch, Arya.

Don’t forget there are so many other great element packs that pack a big punch of detail into small packages. Here is the latest date element pack, Round About When. It is a perfect way to get that unique PRD detail on your page and the date as well!
http://the-lilypad.com/store/Round-About-When-Date-Labels.htmlAnother example is the The We Are Storytellers element pack. It is also full of little tabs with texture and unqiueness. Just look at those adorable hand cut tabs. The perfect handmade touch for any page!
