Hello Scrappers,
Don't be afraid to tweak templates and other supplies to get the look you want.
I started with template 3 from the
pluviophile templates pack and turned it 90 degrees right.
Then, I removed the scallops, title, journaling and boots.
Next, I added a white background paper and turned the rain drops 90 degrees to the left.
I duplicated the raindrops a couple of times and positioned them to fall down the page.
I lowered the opacity to give them a gray, dreary, rainy look.
Then, I added my b&w photos.
Next, I added a ribbon, heart brad and bead scatter to the existing flower cluster on the template.
I wanted to use the quote from a journal card as my title, but I didn't want to use it as a journal card. I used the magic wand tool to select the quote from the journal card and cut it into two pieces.
I put the first portion at the top of my page and replaced the word you with letters from the kit alpha to repeat the colors in the flower cluster below.
I placed the second portion of the quote under my photos and selectively colored the word puddles blue.
And just like that my layout is done... easy peasy!
