Rikki, I'm not sure I'm the one to do any kind of a drop-shadow tutorial. One of the members at SSD had asked about (warping) at least that's the way I took it. My drop shadows are very basic. I only have PSE and I mentioned that somebody else might be able to do a tutorial on more advanced drop shadows and warping.

I'd be happy to trade with somebody who might want to take on this topic. (I do a lot of shadowing, but again, mine are very basic. Or I'd be happy to show my "basic drop shadows" if that's what you're wanting.

I'll be doing a very simple shadowing/adding some dimension tutorial. I'm working on it right now. I won't be doing any warping because I don't know how. I own a few styles that and might be able to figure it out, but they aren't PRD, so I don't want to use them. I'm looking for a free style online, otherwise, there won't be any warping.

No idea where I got the drop shadow idea from, it must have been mentioned somewhere at some point. But, sure, do whatever you feel like and can do.

I love Christmas ! And each year I created an advent calendar for my children. They grow up but they always love open each day and discover gifts.

This year I created a mailbox in cardstock and papers, in which I slipped 24 small envelopes containing an inscription which corresponds to the gift offered that day.
The mailbox and envelopes are created with Autumn Trails

As always, the first step is to print paper and elements :


I created the structure with a cardstock (cereal box). I glued paper on the two sides of cardstock.
I created a door to open and close the mail box.

Then I decorated the door


and each side :




The locking system is very simple. I glued two small wooden clothes pegs that hold a label. Just press the clothes peg on the top of the letterbox to release the paper and open the door.





I created 24 envelopes decorated with printed elements : Brad, flag, tape ...


My advant calendar is ready. I can't wait December 1st !
