Jenn do you have one of your next steps in your filter series almost ready?

I like to try to make sure the blog posts are ready around the Friday before we go live - this way we are a little ahead of the game. You are up for Tuesday ... Feb 6th.

I'm going to get it ready tonight. Then it should be ready to go for Tuesday. :) I was planning to do it yesterday, but I was sidetracked.

Jenn - I saw your post in the chatter thread just now. An accident - I hope all is OK. That is very scary! My Emma is driving now, new permit (with me, LOL - fun times!) and we almost got into an accident this past weekend. It wasn't her fault - it was 2 teen boys that came into her lane about 4 feet from our car! They had a yield so did NOT have the right of way - but she sensed it and slowed way down. Still it was scary and such a close call.

All is ok. I was rear-ended, and my car is a boat (GMC Acadia). Just worried about sensors an damage that isn't visible. My car looks normal, lol! My back is bothering me, so I'll keep an eye on that. :) Ugh... I've got 3 years left. Maybe he won't want to drive?

Jenn... I got some muscle relaxers at the doctor so when working on my Feb TLP challenge I fell asleep! Got that posted, but I need to head to bed. I'll have it up tomorrow night!!! I wasn't expecting to conk out, lol! Won't be driving and taking those! Goodness! I think I'm going to try a 1/2 a tablet.

You're still ahead of the game Jenn. It sounds like you need some relax time for sure ... I hope it helped your back!

Even if I used rarely templates, I loves find inspiration in them.

Last month Pink Reptile Designs created 4 templates : Brand new year

I used one of them (n°2 with the bird) to create an hybrid page. You will see it's very simple, quickly and the result is beautiful !

I used all products from Brand new year : templates, papers and elements kits
I printed papers and elements :


My son on my photo was turned in left direction, so I decided to tip over the template on the right side on my page.

I cut two squares in two different papers. I glued them under my photo :


Then I added the tag under my photo :


I added the different other pieces of paper to complete the template :




Broadly, my page looked like the template :


Then I stamped with black ink, a french text stamp




I completed my page with leaves die cut, cut with my cuttlebug machine in an orange paper.
I slided leaves under my photo


I glued the cloud element from Brand new year and another leaves cut


To finished my page, I added a printed star brad


And it's finished !


Templates are helpful tool when we haven't inspiration or when we have few time to do scrapbooking ^^

I will get the Pretty Pages done on Monday, have a full weekend so won't be able to get to it until then

Hi Everybody,
Hope you have all settled into 2018 and have recovered from January’s MOC! So many fun challenges that pushed us to new places that we thought may be too hard for us but we got there!
March is shaping up to be a busy month. Personally, it is my DH’s 50th birthday – we went from not having a party, to inviting a few friends around – at last count we have 80 arriving on Saturday night so wish us luck!
On to some very Pretty Pages this month.
I love the muted colour scheme on Michelle Hillam’s Christian Dryer page. I’m seeing more and more A4 pages and have started dabbling in that area as well. The fun splashes of blue and green paint, the wiggly lines and the oh so cute blue lady bugs! And I always love doodles and sketches used well.


A more minimalist approach with a stunning photo caught my eye in the gallery this month. Marijke has used the template from the January Challenge along with one of my favourite kits (It’s Not Just Black and White) to perfection.  I always look with admiration on a  page that uses restraint, just a deft touch here and there to highlight a perfect moment caught on camera.


Finally, a very cute page from KairynLisa. This is part of a double page layout telling the tale of ‘changing the oil’ on her box car, complete with a car jack. You must admire the determination!   I love the layering and paint splatters on this page as well as the photo. The woodgrain paper is a perfect backdrop and the Take Note alpha title just works so well.
