Favorite Combo Fonts



When I scrap I always do my journaling last and I look which font I can use with the font the designer used for the word art, journal cards or other snippets. Sometimes I look with this site http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/  which font they used so I can journal with the same font but with a smaller weight.

You can also combine fonts, but how do you match two different fonts and why doesn’t go all fonts together? There are some “rules” looking for combining fonts that you can consider when you are want more then two fonts on a page or invitation.

Pairing Do’s

·         Combine fonts from a different  sans-serif – serif or script family.

·         Keep it simple and combine fonts from the same family but in different weight variations.

·         Make a contrast for example one with a heavier weight line so it stand out and the other font is a thinner one.



Pairing Don’ts

·         Don’t combine fonts that are too similair.

·         Don’t use too many fonts, it takes two to tango and that’s just like combining fonts!

·         Don’t mix fonts with moods, for example these two X-mas fonts, it’s way too busy and there isn’t any font that stands out more.

Try, practice and just remember that contrast is key and opposites attract for pairing fonts together!
