Hello and welcome to the July edition of pretty pages where, every month, we showcase some of the amazing talent we have here. I had such fun scouring the fabulous Pink Reptile Designs gallery to find some to share with you. But I soon realised it was also no easy task trying to narrow down my selection to just a few from so many beautiful layouts. You ladies made me work hard!!!!
http://the-lilypad.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=210829&title=its-the-little-thingss&cat=844This page by Kari immediately caught my attention in the gallery. First of all the crop of the photo is just perfect! It radiates such tenderness and then there is this explosion of elements and that big word art. Despite the use of so many little elements, the page doesn't feel cluttered at all and still draws your eye to that focal point in the photo. I also love the little details here - that little heart slightly outside the main cluster and the air balloon stamp. There are some really good design principles in use here. Awesome work Kari!!!

That big photo is so adorable that it demands the attention and is given in this beautiful, simplistic, yet powerful design. I like how the photo is bordered with doodles stiches and the fact that the elements have been recoloured to match the green hue. I always struggled to stop myself from embellishing too much, so I really appreciate the art of restraint when I see one!!! Love this layout, Bobby and can't wait to see more of these in the PRD gallery!

But Suzanne picked the perfect photos to scrap with it. Oh those blissful, content sleeping faces and the deck chair makes you to just want to lie there and soak the sun! In terms of design, the use of black stripped paper in between the jagged edges of colourful papers adds such depth to the layout. Love the palm trees peeking out too. Thanks for sharing this gem with us, Suzanne.

I am in awe of the use of red in this layout. That red brick stamp is such a stroke of genius!!! Love the masking, blending and painted frame. The arrows and the paint splatter complete the look. This doesn't need anything more! It is an absolute stunner Jaye!
So that is it for now. Hope you have as much fun looking at these pieces as I had finding them. Please don't forget to leave some love for them in the gallery. Till next time, happy scrappin'
