Sept Blog Planning Ideas

So summer is almost over! So sad. I hope you all have enjoyed yourselves. Things have been super hectic around here. My husband finally found a new job, but when he went to give his 2 weeks notice they "walked him out"!!!! Crazy. (He did go to a competing company, but the last guy that left did too and that guy didn't get walked out!) SOOOOO ... we ended up with a very last minute, very unexpected "stay-cation". Just spent the days doing some day trips, and lots of family time and home improvement projects that we had been neglecting. I have not been on the computer much ... tried like heck to scrap and visit the forums, but I was too tired by the end of each day. I have 3 more weeks until the kids go back to school ... but I know this week was the first week of school for so many others.

Now is the time to start planning the Fall Blog happenings. For Sept, I need to figure out what to do for the blog challenge and we need a tutorial or other fun blog topic... San will be doing a post on Fave Fall Fonts. I have Bobbie's Customer Spotlight to put together in the next few days and I see Geraldine will be doing a hybrid/notebook to go along with Sept/organinizing/back to schedules. So we can do something along those lines of getting back to a routine? Just wanted to check in to see if anyone had any ideas before I put on my thinking cap ...

Mirjam ... any special releases for Sept? or plans for SOSN for the month? maybe we can work the blog challenge around those for Sept? and I think I remember something about your "designing anniversary" coming up around this time ... or am I off on that?

If all goes well I'll be finishing a new kit that I made for my September MSA feature. Of course that will not go in my TLP store but I WILL be promoting it on my blog!

Haven't given the September SOSN's much thought yet but I think it would be a great idea to work a challenge around those. We may have found a house.....I am saying it very quietly because I don't want to jinx anything.

At the moment we are crazy busy with all sorts of stuff that I will tell you guys all about later! I am still dead tired. The upstairs neighbours don't give us a day's rest. I can't wait to get out of here!

What I am trying to say is that if you have an idea for a challenge and the September SOSN's I am very much open to suggestions!

Sounds like you had quite a turn of events yourself Jenn. How silly of your husbands former boss to walk him out like that but a HUGE congrats on the new job! So exciting!

i will think about sept fun stuff then ... just wanted to check in with you first, but sounds like you are still crazy busy with all that is going on in your life my dear. huge hugs during this time ...

one other question ... do i prepare the full blog post for the challenges? like christa seems to had done with the last one? i just wrote a little blurb for the challenge itself, but it looks like christa went in and did the full write up (maybe cut and paste from previous challenges) and just leaving blanks for the spots where you fill in winner and stuff. let me know ... i can do it today and have it ready sometime this afternoon, if that is how you wish. ok?!

sorry I have been out of whack for the last two months... July was a mess with being away and weddings etc, and on top of that I switched from cigs to e-cigs with an attempt to quit altogether... re the e-cigs that has dropped my "smoking" down considerably with my using the e-cig 1/3 of what I was using re regular cigs, but I think that created my issue with my metabolism and have gained a few pounds which has gotten me in a bad head space... on top of that, I have been having issues with the eyes again so it limits my pc use and my wisdom teeth have been acting up and so I will be getting them all yanked out at once on Wednesday 8/20 so I will be sedated for it, and probably recuperating for a few days... hopefully by the end of the month I will be back to my usual self :) and ready to turn 53 :)

Hugs a bunch... I am sorry if I have been quiet and absent ... Mirjam I am keeping my fingers crossed for you on the house, and Jen, glad to hear your hubby got a new job... good luck to him :)

i think we're all having a bit of a crazy and/or busy summer! good for you for trying to quit cigs Christa. hope you can figure out the metabolism thing ... at least you are trying to do something better for your health on the inside! & good luck wishes for an easy time with the wisdom teeth ... i just had 2 taken out a few months ago ... i was awake and it just wasn't that bad at all. only took advil for a few days after. fingers crossed yours goes smoothly and trouble free! take care of yourself ... we will be here when you feel better.

and oooo .... a birthday to celebrate soon!!! woo-hoo
